This week we are getting a couple of boxes of 2011 Topps Platinum Football. Check here to see what kind of success we had and how we rated this product.
Whenever you purchase a high dollar product you're always hoping for that box hit, that one card that will make it all worth while. Recently,
while opening a box/pack of 2010/11 upper deck the cup hockey, i got my hit. peeling off the shrink wrap and breaking the seal on this pricey box/pack of cards is exciting and nerve racking. opening the box and pulling out six 180 point thick cards I get past the base card and a pretty cool rookie autograph patch card, then I hit the sweet spot. I slide across the card to reveal an Emblems of Endorsements Dual Patch Autograph card of Mario Lemieux serial numbered 01/15. This card is sweet, featuring a multicolor swatch on both patches. They look like they are from the U in his last name or they may be part of the Captains "C". It doesn't matter cause this baby is nice.
just as the football season started, i was treated to an exciting game, plenty of scoring, not much defense, and an awesome performance from a rookie. as i watched randall cobb come out of the end zone from 8 yards deep, i'm thinking, what are you doing?, then he broke loose and was gone.
racking up plenty of yardage and scoring two touchdowns in your first game, that's a nice way to start. fast forward to friday evening, sitting there with two great friends, talking about the game and busting a couple of boxes of 2011 topps platinum football and who shows up, you guessed it, randall cobb. i pulled a sweet rookie patch autograph featuring a 2 color swatch, numbered 027/150. although cobb won't be returning this one, i think i just scored.
